The goal of wind power is to create a model turbine on an unmodified CD disk and generate the most amount of power when faced with a fan. This week we finished up a solid design for wind power. We cut out a design out of balsa wood sheets and curved them after soaking. It was our fastest design and we can't wait to see how it performs against other competitors!

you only took the disk right? they gave you a generator and where to insert the disc?

Yes. All you take is the disk with the blades attached.

no part of the blade assembly may have a radial distance from the center of the axis of rotation of more than 14cm. How long are the wooden blades?

Ours are less than 14 cm past the center of axis.

Did you curve the blades towards the fan or opposite? Also did you only curve one side of the blade or both, if only one side was curved which one?
